Gifts
One day I was sitting at a table with my friend and I started to cry. My friend asked, "What's wrong?" And I think he regretted asking me because I went off on this big spiel about loosing what we take for granted. I said that I had a dream that I lost my hands because painting had taken them. Soon after my sense of taste, sight, smell and even voice left. As an artist, loosing any of these frightens me. When I walk through life I witness so many people, myself included, forget the many wonderful gifts we have. I have called this journal Gifts to give homage to the endless ones that we possess and too often forget.
It is Proper Etiquette to celebrate life, good and bad, even when you think it could be better.
